Priapus Shot®
The Priapus Shot ®, or P Shot ®, is a non-surgical procedure which utilizes a patient’s own blood, delivering extracted Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) via a safe and effective process to alleviate erectile dysfunction by improving circulation, and penile health. Erectile dysfunction concerns can be difficult to discuss, even with medical providers. These issues are private, personal and may be embarrassing. At GhentMD we understand these sensitive issues and offer new drug-free, non-surgical options.
The P-Shot® is especially helpful for men who have lost erectile function due to aging, an enlarged prostate, drug side effects, the effects of surgery, diabetes, Peyronie’s disease, vascular complications, and other medical conditions.
How The P Shot Works
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains growth factor proteins, that stimulate healing and rejuvenation. The results typically involve tissue growth, growth of new blood vessels and improved circulation within the penis, which leads to stronger erections, increased sensation, and possible changes in girth and length of the penis.
The whole procedure including PRP preparation and P Shot ® injection may take up to an hour. The area is well numbed and a tiny needle is used for injection.
Recovery downtime is not necessary after the P-Shot® although there may be minor bruising in the region, but this resolves usually within a few days.
Within a few weeks following the P Shot ® procedure, there is regeneration of penile tissue, leading to increase in circulation, improvement in erection, and often increase in size and girth. The effects will continue to improve up to 3 months and may last up to 12 months. It may take about 12 weeks to achieve maximum penile tissue regeneration.

P Shot ® treatment of Peyronie’s Disease works by reducing the inflammation, increasing the vascularization, and plaque destruction in the penile tissues associated with Peyronie’s Disease. This leads to improvement in the curvature and associated symptoms of Peyronie’s Disease. The P-Shot® procedure utilizes a proprietary protocol that involves PRP injection into the area of the Peyronie’s plaque and nearby tissue.
